In fact, the earliest vape pen can be traced back to 1963. Herbert A. Gilbert developed a a smoke-free device. The atomizer heats the nicotine solution and produces a vapor gas.

In 1965, his R & D patent was formally approved and his idea was mentioned for the first time in the most popular mechanical magazine  the same year.

In 1967, Gilbert discuss cooperation with companies interested in this kind of device. Unfortunately, it has not really put on the market. Since then, this equipment began to fade from public opinion until it disappeared.
